Get to Know Tam...

Tam (full name: Tamara Anderson) was born and raised in Memphis, TN.  At the tender age of six, she knew that she was destined to entertain.  Her mother placed her in all sorts of activities from ballet to tap dancing, and has remained a constant support in her life.  She would write her own songs and she, along with her cousin, would perform them at all family gatherings.  Loving the spotlight made it easy for her to become the Queen of her elementary school and Miss Bobcat of her Jr. High School.  So, it was no surprise when she became Miss Teen Black Memphis at age 16.  This achievement led to her graduating from John Robert Powers Modeling School and competing in modeling shows across the country. Tam attended Clark Atlanta University and used her talents by not only working at CAU-TV, but appearing on CAU-TV commercials.  She transferred to the University of Memphis where she received her B.A. in Communications.  Tam signed with Colors Talent and Modeling Agency and appeared in numerous TV commercials, and even print ads for Fed Ex.  She acted in plays such as: "The Day the King Died" and "Troubled Brother."  She also had a lead role in an independent film entitled "Wet Noises."  This movie won several awards including the "Award of Distinction" from The Videographer Awards.  She worked as an On-Air personality/DJ for K-97 (the #1 radio station in Memphis), as well as U-92 (University of Memphis' Jazz station).  By working at the radio stations and constantly being surrounded by music, she decided to focus more on her music career and made the decision to move to Los Angeles.

Currently, Tam resides in Los Angeles, and is a Producer for an online, entertainment show called Studio Q.  This show, hosted by her best friend, Quencie Thomas, features News about Entertainment, Views on Pop Culture, and Interviews with Celebrities.  Some of their celebrity interviews include: Whitney Houston, Bishop T.D.
